Today we did our first Trail trial! It was a blast! I have been working miss mare for a few months now on different obstacles and such and she was pretty good with the stuff she had seen before. Dragged a branch without blinking, sat there while I tossed an apple over her head into a basket, and walked though some scary flamingos like a champ. Yet, I did learn that barrels are in fact trying to eat horses and flags/rain slickers are the devil in disguise.
But, now i see why everyone loves them so much! It’s great to laugh at the sillyness and just be on a trail instead of stuck inside a ring like I have done for the past 12 years. Doing another one on Saturday! I think I may be addicted…
