Was just reading an old article about Roxie and read she had a younger full sister named Ricona- does anyone know what happened to her ? Last FEI result is from 2015. Is she not with Jung anymore ? She’d be 13 now and seems to have dropped off the planet… such a shame.
My guess is she is a broodmare. Purely a guess.
I remember reading a long time ago on Jungs Facebook page that she was sold to another eventer, and he was happy she was staying in Germany.
I don’t think it has to be a shame, just because she doesn’t have FEI results doesn’t mean she’s dropped off the planet, much exists on the planet besides FEI competitions!
I own a former advanced level eventer, he doesn’t have any FEI results since I’ve owned him but we’ve been kicking butt at local combined tests, doing dressage shows and taking really productive naps.
I bet she has a great home.

Mirko Glotz, who bred Roxie, repeated that breeding three times. The third full sister is Rocana II, now owned by Julia Schmidt. That mare also competed very successfully FEI. She is a broodmare now, and has produced several foals, I believe all girls. The oldest is called Quadrocana, by Quadrofino (Quaterback) , is currently competing with Dom Schramm at Intermediate, very successfully. Another daughter Rocana Twist is also in the US, coming two. Rocana Twist is by the Gem Twist clone Gemini. We are fortunate enough to have ownership in both these fabulous mares.

She did not compete since 2015 either international or in Germany so could be she’s in baby factory or not around anymore. She was an awesome little mare though. Here in Wiesbaden in 2014 which she of course won
