FL Hunt Info?

Hey all,

Just looking for info on some Florida hunts. I want to take my younger horse out and I havent hunted in years. I actually have never joined a hunt, just been a guest or paid a capping fee but if it is a perfect fit, I would be looking to join. Im in north FL and a google search pulled up three hunts in FL.

South Creek is in the Tampa area which isnt too far. There is also Misty Morning in gainsville which is a bit farther and Palm Beach which is unfortunately too far a drive. Just looking for advice and input as well as additional hunts that I may be unaware of.

Thanks in advanced

As the once and former hunt secretary at South Creek - great group of folks! we enjoyed our time with them very much. I think Four Winds in Indiantown is still in existence. Lonesome Palm I think is no more. Live Oak still around perhaps?

You might want to look at your map again. If you are in N FL the closest hunts to you are Live Oak Hounds and Misty Morning Hounds. It would depend on where in N FL you actually are, that encompasses quite a lot of real estate. MMH is about an hour and half from the Jacksonville area, and north of Ocala.
Tampa would be further south in S FL on the west coast and Palm Beach Hounds would be on the east coast. There is another hunt in the Palm Beach area but the name escapes me. Four Rivers or something like that.
www.mfha.org might be a more accurate and complete listing of what hunts are located where.

Thank you pegasusmom! I will check on Fourwinds and Live Oak as well.

try www.mfha.org
it has a complete listing of all recognized hunts and contact information

Jaegermonster, thank you for the list. Im trying to keep it within 2 hours or less from home. Thank you for the list as well
