Flank Billets - help me find these, please!

I’m looking for flank billets. Easy, right? Apparently not, when you want them to have the loop closure instead of laces.

I thought I had found some on Chicks, but they sent me ones with laces and said that the photo on the website was wrong - they don’t carry the loop closure. Rats.

Anyone know where I can find these, with this specific attachment, in natural/light leather? I don’t mind paying for good quality.

Here’s another option?

Or these? (Wrong color?)

Thank you x a million. I looked all through Teskeys and didn’t see those, I don’t know why? I will call them to make sure they’re the loop, because the ones I bought were Martins and they came with the laces instead. That’s my best bet for a color match, as the cinch itself is a martin.

The Tory’s look nice too, but I don’t know if they would stretch without the double stitching.

I loooooooove Google lens for this sort of search! Makes it much easier than clicking through endless links only to be continually disappointed.

I hope something here pans out! Another option would be to contact someone like Bartville and just have something made to your specs?

If I have to, I sure will. I just want them to be quick and easy to take off/put on!

I suggest asking or considering a second opinion on loop v laces. It would seem to me that if 1400 of cow hits the end of your rope attached to the horn, the chance of the loop giving way is greater than the lacing --if it is more for show than use, probably all good --but again, I’d ask a roper his/her thoughts on loop v laces . . .I don’t “really” rope --at my age I use a break-away honda, so no expertise to offer, just an opinion.

I’m not going to be roping cows, or putting that kind of strain on it in general. That’s a good thought though!

In the past, I have ordered mine from the Circle Y website to match my Circle Y saddles.

They’ve got quite a few options but these are pretty basic if you just want something simple.

Do you actually need the rear cinch too or just the billets?

If you want it to match your MARTIN saddle, then order from Martin. Here’s some without laces.

Simkie helped me find a source that actually had the one with the loop.

Basic is fine, but I like it to be decently sturdy. I ended up with the martin billets and the martin cinch. I’m guessing it’s going to be too long on the pony, but she does have a big barrel so we will just wait and see.

Thank you!
