Me too. Love the old Passiers.
The Romanus is the most comfortable dressage saddle I’ve ever ridden. It belongs to a friend and is not a new model. It looks just like this one:

I started Googling “flat dressage saddle” and found pix of a really flat Kieffer, a Stubben Adventure, and this: http://www.pls-riders.com/gb/our-saddles/27-selle-modele-df-dressage-flat-seat.html
I’ve got two of these and I love them, as do my horses.
I do NOT need another Romanus, but can’t help asking for the details
My older one (which I’ve had a shorter length of time, although still several years, as both mine were purchased used) looks very similar, although while somewhat greenish, not to that extent.
My newer one (bought in practically new condition umpteen years ago, how the time flies) has an upgraded, more textured leather that is the perfect amount of grip and has remained black.
The Frank Baines Capriole is quite flat, as was mentioned above. It’s been discontinued but I have a brand new 18" available. PM if interested. You might also consider a GPD saddles. The biggest differences between a GPD and a dressage saddle is the GPD has an open seat and a much lower price tag! Many saddle makers have a version of GPD.
There are lots of able-bodies people buying it.
The cantle looks like fins on a car. Extra? Or not…
I have two. I’d like to sell the 18"/31 cm. It’s an HP, meaning the flap is an inch longer (17") and it has block that get big very low down. It was designed for rider with long legs. The panels have gussets. It’s in beautiful shape. PM me if you want pictures.
I am a sucker for a pretty saddle, so the ones I have are saddles that have been in the Cryo-Freeze— somehow someone bought 'em when they still made 'em and didn’t ride in 'em.
Ooh… see I want to see that one. How wide is the tree? Will you pm me if you have pictures and a price?
Thanks for responding! What has worked for me (and my horses) is the 32 tree, with a smaller seat size. Good luck moving your Romanus on – they’re great saddles for the right horse & rider, IMO. The independent saddle fitter that I’ve been using forever is who originally suggested that I keep my eyes open for one, and it was excellent advice.
Hmmm. I have a 17.5"/32 Romanus CL. It’s NWT, but a tad faded. It was in the Cryo-Freeze. It doesn’t fit my are as well as I wanted it to. The CL has tiny external blocks. I’d sell that… unless you want a 17"! Now, those feel sma-hall to me.
