Flea control in cats

Just wondering what everybody uses for their cats? Mine have not had a problem with fleas- not for years. Suddenly we have a flea outbreak. I think the dogs brought them in - dogs are on Simparica

revolution.
The vet put me on to Bravecto, it is supposed to last 3 months. You can get it as pill or topical. So far so good, I just need to get the rest of the gang on it.

I was fighting a losing battle against fleas with Advantage and swapped to Comfortis. Problem solved and nobody hates me for putting poison on them.

You can get stuff to put in a spray bottle for their areas. You can put a spot on their neck of another product that will affect fleas and depending on how much you want to spend ticks, you can get a spray for the cat, you can get a shampoo. There are also flea collars. You can probably also get a tablet. At least I know you can get a tablet for dogs.

My cat is very allergic to fleas and most of the standard flea medications are never effective enough for her. What has worked is Vet-Kem flea, tick, and bot spray (don’t overdo it - just 1 or 2 sprays per side) and Capstar.

I use a Seresto collar on the barn cat, but I glue it inside his break away collar, because I don’t trust the break away ability of the Seresto itself.
