Our vet sold to us a Seresto collar for $60 for our dog, put it on, ten minutes later dog was foaming at the mouth, disoriented, then was throwing up violently.
Took the collar off, gave the dog a bath and finally two hours later dog was back to normal.
That collar probably would have killed her if we had not been right there to take it off and wash what we could out.

Just be careful first time you use them, watch your critters, just in case it doesn’t agree with them.

My dog is back on a Virbac Preventic collar as she has used for several years now without any problems nor flies or ticks.

Yikes, I have heard of people unintentionally buying collars that were not Seresto but a fake and having adverse reactions however I would think from a vet you would have been in the clear. 😔

I use the seresto collar and have not had a single flea or tick on my girl all summer (found a couple of ticks on me after working out in the yard but none on her). They are not cheap but they work great and last 8 months. I paid $73 for my the collar for my Great Pyranees - so giant dog.

Thanks for the feedback on these collars - I’m giving them a try. In two days I’ve managed to get completely covered with flea bites (after working from home and letting the cats cuddle on my lap all day). It seriously looks like I have chicken pox. Can’t live like this!

You will have to treat your house if it is that bad. The one’s living in the house may not get on the animals anymore with the collars but they will still east on you.
