Though he’s known as Krack C and Lingh’s sire, he comes from jumper lines and scored well in that field - does he tend to produce good jumpers?
Can anyone comment on temperament in this line?
thanks

If you look at the dam sires of the mares he has been bred to, I’d say about 50% are stallions that “say” jump (Nimmerdor, Inshallah, Lucky Boy etc), so my inclination is to believe he does (or at the very least doesn’t kill the jump).
A jumper farm I recently visited has his semen. I don’t think it’s for sale as a ‘dose’, but if you wanted to do a custom breeding to one of their FABULOUS jumper mares, I think that option exists.
Thanks Molly.
Anyone met any jumper offspring of his?
Flemmingh competed as a show jumper, got to about 1m40 level if I remember right.
Despite being bred to be a jumper he’s not thought of as a sire of jumpers but he doesn’t kill the jump either. I used him on a mare who could jump the moon (she gave 1m70 air to spare). The resulting offspring had a nice jump and good willingness over fences, she got to 1m10 in two outings, but did not have the jaw dropping scope of her mother. She’d maybe have made a 1m30-40 jumper if she had been trained as a jumper.
What Flemmingh does do is pass on a fabulous temperament. I’ve never met a difficult Flemmingh. They also tend to have an expressive front leg, good for dressage although some (mine!) come out moving like show ponies. He is known for having a weak loin connection so don’t use him on a mare who isn’t strong in that area. And he’s rarely successful if he’s line bred.
He was a lovely stallion. Once you know what the Flemmingh head looks like you can spot it, even on grandchildren of his. He crosses very, very well with Jazz. Johnson and Boston are Jazz x Flemmingh, Vivaldi is Krack C x Jazz. His frozen looks awful down the microscope but works very well (if you can find any).

Great to hear he passes along a good temperament - looking at a mare by him, out of a Cor de la Bryere dam. Hope that leaves some jump. Mare certainly looks like him & has his movement.
Hey Annie: I’m leasing an imported Flemmingh mare with a super jumping mare line. She is the easiest, most polite horse in the barn and I adore her. Never so much as wrinkles her nose, just says yes. Plenty of jump for Top Ten in North America for jumping her year and to be awarded Ster. Comments included that she “finished” the jump well. Supple trot, it is her best gait, which is not usually the case with jumpers. Flemminghs generally get thumbs up for trainability and character. I’ve bred her to a dressage stallion (Negro) for a 2012 foal. The foal should certainly have ability for jump as well.
Here you can read the sport index and other facts from the KWPN site about Flemmingh. Checking out his approved sons that had jumping marks, they were not remarkable in that area. As a sire, the KWPN gave him a dressage index of 126 and for show jumping an index of 83, which is below average.

Hm - interesting! Well I guess the only way to know is to go freejump the mare and see what she can do! Do love the sound of the temperament - that counts for a lot in my book.
In the records Flemmingh shows just 166 records for the calculation of show jumping.
Approved stallion Ojasper KWPN (Hollywood - Flemmingh) competes showjumping at a 1.60m level and has been given a breeding value of 144 for Showjumping in 2011.
Great grand son Silvano KWPN (heartbreaker - Damocles - Flemmingh) has been on the world rankings in show jumping.
The mother line shows a line of showjumpers and is the same blood line that Oldenburger stallion and ex international show jumper Gran Corrado decends from.
During the stallion performance test Flemmingh was given a 9 for showjumping and had 81 points out of a 100.
