Just purchased a fly bonnet for my horse. I was wondering if the bridle would need to be adjusted to accomadate the bonnet. It didn’t seem to make much of a differance to me, just wondering what would be best.
Depending on the material, I’ve found I’ve needed to drop my bit down a hole to accommodate- but only with the thickest crochet type ones.
I agree here…it depends.
Don’t forget that your bridle leather stretches a little as it warms up next to the horse’s coat and/or gets sweaty/wet. Not a lot…but if your on the fence and one hole down would be too low for the bit, try checking on the setup after 30 minutes of work.
