What title says? My guys are murder on fly Masks. Any good sales going on?
here that end of season would be January … but I do not ever remember any local suppliers have any mark down on fly masks
Riding Warehouse has some brands on sale. I stocked up on some extra Professional’s Choice.
thanks! that’s one of my favorite places to shop
This season I switched my horses to fly fringes. They seem to prefer them and they’re inexpensive. I couldn’t find one for my mini so I made one by tying a series of large loops, then cutting the loops in half.
too funny- So the other store that the Chick’s family owns (Fair Hill Saddlery) is literally 1/2 mile from my barn (aka super dangerous hahaha). I asked about sales because they were having a sale and were all sold out of the ones I wanted lol
I feel like I have tried every fly mask out there and this year I have found THE ones. I have 18 horses of varying sizes that all live out. They ALLLLLLLL love these masks. I am not lying when I say I have not had to go look for a fly mask a single time since getting these for most of the ponies this year! I got them on sale mid season for $6 each and they are the bomb dot com. Worth noting they are a harder/wirey fabric, but mine all live in them 24/7 and not a single one has a rub.
I learned long ago most horses hate ear covers so I never order masks with ears, but they do come with ears too.
My two complaints is the sizing is wonky, and the fun colors sun bleach immediately.
A very average horse will fit into the cob much better than the horse size. I like bright ones to make field searching easier. However, not a single one has been pulled off all summer so its not been an issue.
