So sorry @QM2 and @LaurieB for your losses. 
My mare was dropped off at the foaling facility yesterday. She’s now on day 316 and I highly doubt she’ll make it much past 320. I’m such a nervous wreck, luckily I have a friend who lives just down the road from the facility and is willing to let me stay once Sunny goes on 24/7 foal watch. Expecting I won’t get much sleep in the next couple weeks even though I’m not the one who has to watch her.
Ugh, WTF is going on?! I’m so sorry.
Mine lived a few hours thought he was ok but then he just crashed. Now looking at the preliminary necropsy report, he had hemorrhages throughout his body. She basically miscarried him. He didn’t have a chance.
We don’t know what the cause is yet. Hopefully, we will have answers in a week or so.

That is really odd, QM2. Did the vet give you a reason why that could be?
Cora is on Day 299 and looking like a house. I am starting to get nervous.
They called it thrombocytopenia but said no cause is evident at this time. Most tests are pending. They said no placentitis evident and negative for EHV-1 (which I wasn’t worried about)
Well, after looking like she was going to go early, my maiden mare has stalled out. Her udder looks very full but foaling facility says she doesn’t have enough milk to test yet and she’s not really showing any other signs of progressing either. Today is day 325. Knowing this mare she will go at the most inconvenient time, so probably end of this week/early next week when I have work stuff going on lol.
310 days here. My mare is HUGE and I’m starting to get excited. I was sure she would foal while I was away the first week of April but that trip has been canceled so it’s anyone’s guess. No obviously inconvenient dates on the calendar now for her to target! Haha
Day 332, and she’s pulling the maiden card lol. Udder more developed, milk calcium jumped from <50 to 150 ppm in 24 hours this weekend, and then she decided to wait. pH was down to 6.4 this morning and she’s been acting weird overnight, so foaling manager told me we could go anytime. Fingers crossed she doesn’t drag this out for days

Cora is day 312 and a wide load! Thinks get real next week when she goes off to the vet to foal. Udder is starting to develop a little but not enough to concern me she might foal sooner. Starting to get nervous…I’ve been spoiling her rotten with apples recently.

LOL Thank you! She’s been either in a stall or a dry lot with crushed gravel footing for the past 50 days, so that’s the only reason she looks so clean. Normally she is a pig 
Sunny was put on 24/7 watch this morning since milk calcium went up to 175 ppm after staying around the 125-150 mark for a couple of days. Here are some of the university students getting her all groomed and ready for her baby. She’s such a sweet girl to let all of these relatively inexperience students handle her when she’s so large and cranky 
Sunny’s milk calcium was at 250 ppm last night so I was sure she was going to have the baby. Forecast called for storms after midnight, and weather was nice and warm. But she is still torturing us and keeping that baby locked down tight lol. Really hoping she has it before the weekend! Send all the good jingles!
