Not much of a discussion on the Oaks tomorrow. I know Gamine is the morning line favorite but I’m still hoping for Swiss Skydiver. Does Speech have a chance?
Will also be watching for the Derby City Distaff (G1) lead by Serengeti Empress and Mia Mischief.
Some really nice races on both the Oaks and Derby undercards.

There are also 4 big graded stakes being run at Saratoga on Saturday, including the Woodward and the Prioress.

I usually have my TV on TVG but tomorrow and Saturday, much of the time will be on NBC*. You are right, some excellent races both days.
I like Gamine. That said, I am cheering wholeheartedly for my best friend’s filly, Bayerness, to run a big race. This is her first Oaks starter (she’s only been training for 2 years) and we are all so excited!
Excellent race! I was rooting for Swiss Skydiver but figured Gamine would out run her. Figured Speech would play into the board somehow and did not.
I think of the whole NBC crew, no-one picked Shedaresthedevil. I tuned back into TVG in time to catch Todd Schrupp say three of the TVG crew did pick Shedaresthedevil.
At the tail end of the BH article, didn’t realize that both Shedaresthedevil and Swiss Skydiver are by Daredevil who now stands in Turkey. :eek:
Oh, and Monomoy Girl looked nice in the La Troienne (G1).
