For those who feed raw -- liver?

My dogs have been eating mostly chicken and green tripe, occasionally beef. I bought some chicken livers today and even the pup who eats just about anything doesn’t seem to recognize it as food. He’s playing with it a little bit but not eating it.

Anybody else feed raw liver?

None of my dogs have ever liked it. I guess I could fry it in a little butter or oil.

I used to feed it to my previous dog and she loved it. Great when you need to stimulate their appetite.

Organ meat should be only 10% of their diet. We top dress their raw with a little chicken liver as a treat. All three dogs love it, although the young one isn’t fond of turkey liver. She opens her mouth and lets it fall off her tongue like a toddler. Sometimes the grocery store has packages of gizzards and hearts. Those are muscle meat and they can eat more of them.

Neither of my two “enjoy” chicken liver. They will eat it, but not with the relish as other choices. Beef liver? Now that is a party! They love it
