Anyone have any experience with these? Thanks!
I’ve seen them and they look nice. I have a Forestier short girth and love it. Would love to order another but haven’t figured out how yet. May need to wait until I see them at an event.
I had the rep come by and sat in all of the jump saddles. I ride in a CWD, am very tall and…not petite. I loved the balance of the saddle and felt my leg more securely under me than most other jump saddles. They have some interesting features that I was intrigued with. I wouldn’t call them “cushy” but my horse seemed to like it. Not sure about long-term butt happiness as it was a windy day and my horse was being a wee bit terrible
But, they are nice! The rep is well educated (worked for Devocoux for a long time) and knows the saddles/fit. It’s one of the first saddles I sat in that made me feel like the flap actually fit my ridiculous legs.
Oh, the girths! BFNE is right–they are divine!
One of my clients found one of these saddles on eBay and took a chance on buying it several years ago. I could not believe how lovely the saddle looked, felt, and rode for the money she paid. I do not know anything about their current saddles, but her monoflap was fabulous!
I rode a horse a couple years ago who went in a forestier. The saddle was lovely, nice leather, and I found the seat quite comfortable. However, I have never had a saddle put me in a worse chair seat. It was so bad that I trotted a couple laps and then switched saddles, because I felt like I couldn’t ride. This was also an old saddle, so their new ones might be much better.
I just bought one a few clients have as well . I can say that the are the best saddles I’ve ever sat in. One client has a CWD for her horse and the difference in the two on the same horse is remarkable.
My student / friend has one and OMG it is lovely!! I would snap one up in a heartbeat if I had the money. So well balanced.
