Forestier Saddles

My mom has a Forestier that I am helping her to sell and am trying to decipher the serial number so that we have accurate information. Does anybody have experience with these saddles? My initial search doesn’t lead me to any apparent company contacts.

Thanks!

They are a French company; their website is www.forestier.com

I had one years ago and wish I had never sold it… it was wonderful.

I have one and love it. Mine is a model called “Atlanta”. If you post a pic we might be able to help.

Thanks for the help so far - I emailed Forestier so hopefully they can offer some assistance as well. Working on uploading the pictures she sent me now. Hopefully this works…

Sandridge Saddlery used to be Forestier dealers - they might be able to help you:

I have an Atlanta, too - fantastic saddle.

I’m not sure why tiny pic is rotating these…sorry.

No help with identification, but my old trainer had one and I loved to ride in it. Good luck.

I wish I could justify buying it from my mom to keep for myself. Unfortunately right now I have one young child at home, another on the way, and saddle time is limited. Tough to justify having two really nice saddles sitting on a rack.

I just bought a forestier saddle and absolutely love it! It broke in right away and is so comfortable! IMHO its just like a Devoucoux

They’re on the same level as Anatres, CWD, etc? How much are they? I tried looking on the web site, but I don’t speak French.

New ones start at $3000. Used that I can find seem to run in the $1500-$2000 range.

Wow. I just got a used one in to sell and I thought it was worth about $500. Guess I should up my asking price.

They are really nice saddles! Definitely worth much more than $500. I think there is no marketing here and that is why no one knows about them! I love my new Forestier saddle!!
