I love this thread! Mainly because I was lost after post number 1. Mula, I guess I am not understanding your original statement. I don’t know when Stormy got into eventing, it may have been young, But I am sure she made more money with her current profession than she would have as a rider. She’s a lovely rider and if I’m ever as good, my life would be complete. So she did it right. Stayed in a profession that supported her hobby.

I actually wrote to Breyer corporate after we got back from Breyerfest last week to complain about how many child performers were running around with no helmets. And in one case, galloping around with no helmet and sneakers in a saddle with too big fillis irons. It’s got to be a Western/Gaited culture thing. All of the English riders, including the FEI level dressage riders, had helmets.

LOL. This really made me laugh because it reminded me of a sales ad/video I was looking at the other day. In the video the rider was in a western saddle showing the horse’s western moves and wasn’t wearing a helmet. However, once the English saddle went on, so did the helmet! So western saddle - no helmet needed; English saddle - helmet needed.

We are so rude you are discontinuing your subscription? That would be to…what? No subscriptions here.

Discontinuing the subscription should at least share a square with going away and never coming back and/or bumping your own thread back up after months to complain about how you were treated when you got on here to throw shade on somebody.
