For the past few months, when I am browsing a topic, my page freezes. The browser says “page unresponsive” and gives me a chance to wait or exit. I have to exit. then I reload. Commence cycle. I use chrome. I have noticed it on two computers. Thoughts??
Do you have any ad blockers installed? Maybe want to do that?
Have you tried stopping the page load that is unresponsive and reload it (if it will?)
Have you tried waiting longer to see if that “fixes” it?
Occasionally if Safari gets ‘wedged’, I’ll kill the process (not let it run down politely) and rerun Safari and whatever was causing the page to hang has been taken care of (sometimes without me having a clue what the problem is.
Thread here about similar issues; believe final solution for most (all?) was to install an ad blocker.

@EmilyM We’re sorry for the trouble. Have you also tried clearing your cookies for the site at any point?
ad blocker seems to have worked. i am confused, because I never got pop ups, but. . .I am a bit of a luddite
