Forward girth groove, what girth to use?

I have a 4 yr old with a pronounced forward girth groove. I’ve tried anatomic girths, but am hoping to find something with even more offset from billets to girth.

TSF girths have a 2" inch difference, and I’ve got one on order. Any other suggestions?

My forward girth groove creatures have actually really disliked the TSF girths. There is just something about the fitment that there is strange gapping in some cases. Crescent girth has been the hands down winner so far. Ovation gel form in particular but I believe they have changed something on the newer style so I haven’t tried the new one yet.

My mare prefers the professional choice ven tech girth best of all. I’m considering trying the mattes crescent girth but haven’t pulled the trigger yet.

I have a mare with a very forward girth groove and she definitely prefers the professional’s choice girth as well (I have the contoured one with the plastic back and it seems to keep the saddle from sliding forward the best of the girths I have tried)

I use Passier girths- this is how they are usually listed: Leather Saddle Girth with Broadened Girth Center. Both of my guys seem to like them, and they have a hidden clip in the middle, which I appreciate. My two aren’t particularly sensitive about their girths (usually, although see below) but these fit them perfectly and they wear really well.

My older guy, who is normally very chill, actively hated the TSF girth I got him, so definitely try one out if you can before you buy that model.

ETA I only use leather girths, personal preference, and I’ll say that the Passiers clean up great- I just wipe them down after every ride with a damp rag and they look almost new again.

I would try the TSF one with the elastic in the middle. It doesn’t gap in the front like the solid leather ones. I use one for my short girth. But my horses all seem to prefer the Professionals Choice wool girths the most, even across 3 body types.
