Just an FYI for anyone looking for horse quality hay in OK or the surrounding area…
We have 7 horses and 3 mules and were in a panic looking for a decent reliable hay source for the winter since our local person told us they wouldn’t be able to help out so after some research and checking of references I found McCraken Hay Company in Elgin OK. http://www.mccrackenhay.com/haypage-1.htm
They have been in business forever, were very helpful (although a bit “country”- but we are in OK after all) and overall I was very impressed with them. We ended up buying 3 round bales of prarie hay and 50 compressed sq bales of alfalfa. They sell by the ton and are very reasonable and will even deliever (for a fee). For anyone out there who needs hay, I recommend them! :yes:
