Found some! CleanTrax hoof soak solution

Hi hive!

I’m in desperate need of two bottles of cleantrax, it’s sold out worldwide on back order. I posted on Facebook but really hoping someone has a few extra bottles lying around they don’t need. My horse gets reshod next weekend with pads and really needs a good soak to get her hooves back on track.

I sent you a pm

Checking now thank you!!!

I believe it was discontinued by the manufacturer. We carry Vetericyn Hoof Soak now instead.

What about White Lightening? I think it is about the same thing (but I could be wrong). Is it still being manufactured?

Clorpactin is the human version with the same active ingredient, if that gives you something else to search for. You might check in with your local pharmacy–it’s not RX but one of those medical supply things that people often get from the pharmacist.

It is available on Amazon

Different chemical, but still available. Or, you can use generic oxine, a gallon is a lot cheaper than a gallon of WL, and make your own

Thank you Simkie! Much appreciated. I was able to find two bottles. Will use your recommendation going forward though. Jingles.

It used to be. No longer in production.

Thank you!

I was referring to White Lightning:

Oh man, that’s disappointing. I had amazing results with CleanTrax (better than I ever had with White Lightning) and it was very popular at our store.

My farrier didn’t know CT was discontinued. When did that happen?

Oh No!!! That stuff was amazing. A PITA to soak and then wrap, but really effective. Hopefully I won’t need it on my current horse because my last horse was an absolute saint when wearing their soaking boot.

Why oh why is it discontinued?

On Big Dee’s website, it says it will be back in stock in June.

I just checked, it now listed there as 8/1/24.

I also discovered that Uptite poultice appears to be discontinued everywhere as well.

Hi, my farrier recently recommended this product for WLD. I’ve never used it before. But it seems like it is out of stock everywhere again. It’s hard to figure out what the active ingredients are in any of the competing products that pop up when I google. Can anyone advise me on a suitable substitute? Is Clean It similar? Or Vetracyn Hoof Soak?

I used vetricyn after the clean trax. Worked well!
