Four stallions killed in Peru - from TDN

The statement from Schwartzman used the words …"overcoming our employees and security guards" so apparently there was more than a watchman. How they were overcome for 11 hours I wonder, but it doesn’t change the outcome. https://www.bloodhorse.com/horse-racing/articles/237654/raided-peruvian-stud-haras-barlovento-to-close

Whatever the motive, this is a tragedy for the farm and the stallion owners.

I don’t buy it was random for a heartbeat.

I don’t think anyone has said that it was “random” have they? If so, I missed it.

To me, felt like ‘staged’; ie, wanting it to appear random but not really. Too many strange coincidences.

Corruption is ingrained in the culture in these countries. Unless you have been there and have experienced it it’s difficult to explain how bad it really is. If I were a stallion owner I would definitely reconsider any shuttle contract.
