I have been reading about fox hunting and it just sounds so exciting! I was wondering if there is any place in Missouri where they will accommodate a newbie like me and my mare:) I am a dressage rider but I think my mare and I might like to give it a try and just have fun.

south East Missouri. Close to Farmington/Potosi area.

And yes, any hunt would love have you join them! The season is winding down but there are activities throughout the summer that are perfect for exposing/training a horse to the hunt field.

You should check out Shawnee in Southern Illinois. Friendly group and willing to accept all types of riders and horses. They are based out of Marion. Shouldn’t be too far for you.
I hunt with Bridlespur and we certainly welcome newcomers but we probably be a farther haul for you. We are North of St. Louis near Eolia, Missouri
Find out which club who has John Dean for its huntsman.
