Fox was shopping

My local fox likes to come shopping for dinner at my bird feeder. DH and I got to see him/her catch a nice squirrel breakfast on Sat morning.

He came back Tues morning and again Tues afternoon and DH was able to get some pictures from the bedroom window.

Fox left hungry on Tues.

This is the darker smaller one of the two foxes that we see in the tree farm behind our house. The other one is leggier and a more blonde color but he does not come as close to the house.

The fence you see in some of the pictures is our dog yard and it is about 30-35 feet behind our back door. So he comes in pretty close.

This is the time of year when they are feeding their kits. Fox kits have to be one of Nature’s cutest babies, looking like a cross between a kitten and a puppy.

Hard to determine whether he/she is shedding or coping with mange. Shame if its the second.
