Are there any local foxhunting groups in or around Saratoga Springs, NY? I will possibly be attending Skidmore College in the fall and will be bringing my horse with me. We have foxhunted locally here in NJ, and primarily do eventers, but since the eventing scene is lacking up there (much to my dismay 
) i’d like to atleast get him out foxhunting once and a while
I believe the options are the Old Chatham hunt,(NY or MA - not certain which) or the Green Mountain hounds in VT. Neither one is particularly close, but some of their fixtures are within an hour and a half to two hours drive. Both have websites I think.
I dream of the day I manage to get my act together and start hunting with some regularity too! :winkgrin:
Old Chatham is in NY - it’s a great group of people, and probably closer to you than either of the VT hunts (Green Mtn. Hounds and North Country Hounds).
