Frederick Watershed & Gambrills State Park

I went hiking in the Frederick Watershed today. I saw some horses in the near distance so I assume you can ride there. However, I didn’t see any decent parking spots for trailers.

Has anyone ridden at the Frederick Watershed before? Any recommendations for parking?

Edited to add: I just saw that all trails except for the white one in Gambrills are open to horses. Anyone have any experience with that?

I was thinking of hauling over to Fair Hill but it seems like Gambrills or the Watershed would be better.

There is no available online map for the Frederick Watershed, but you can consult the DNR website for the Gambrill State Park trail. I found a topo map of the watershed but that is not much use because it does not designate any trails nor parking. This is the best site I could find. PSA to the reports of booby traps with razors that have been reported. It does say you can call them for a GPS map of the Frederick Watershed area.

I’m aware of the booby traps - they seem to be targeting bikers. I have to wonder where they are though since all the bikers I see are riding on the roads.

I’m familiar with the trails - just not sure where to park a rig. Car parking, however, is ample.

I would assume those folks would know where to park trailers.
