It’s been a while, but as an update I changed farriers not long after posting this thread originally. It’s been roughly 8-9 shoeings with the different farrier-- not one close/hot nail, no bruising, no issues. Horse is happy and so am I.

Excellent! It is not easy to give up on a farrier that you have faith in. I’m glad it worked out for you.
Nine years later I don’t even remember which farrier or horse this was. LOL!
