Hi! I’m looking at getting a new headstall and breastcollar set and I’m seeing a lot of the breastcollars have fringe. I think it looks pretty but I’m hesitant to get it because I’m thinking the fringe will just get wrecked. What are your experiences with a breastcollar with fringe? Thank you!
No experience, but I see the fringed breastcollars in the Barrel Racing crowd. Flying fringe adds motion, looks speedier!
Fringe might be helpful trail riding as a fly swisher. Guess how well it lasted would depend on the type of country you ride in. Open trails, 2-track roads, low brush in open country, probably won’t hurt the fringe. Pushing thru scrub brush rubbing on you often, will be rougher on the fringe.
Sorry, can’t comment on how the fringe holds up.
Personally, I hate tack with fringe so I’ll never own a set with fringe. :D:D
