Frock coat sewing patterns?

Since I’m on a roll with posting in this forum tonight - might as well get another in!

I have come across one website that has a frock coat pattern that I could give to my seamstress ( http://www.lostcoasthistpatterns.com/mesianddobrf.html ).

It isn’t specifically listed as an equestrian frock coat though. So anyone see anything obviously wrong/missing/out of place on it?

Anyone have any other website links to other frock coat patterns?

I can’t tell but it kind of looks double breasted. that would be wrong.

I have no idea if they have what you are looking for or not, but I get all of my horse patterns from www.suitability.com

I guess I wasn’t too clear - I’m a guy, which is what makes finding a mans forck coat pattern a little on the tough side!

You have to click on ‘enlarge’ to see the frock pattern - but still needs some alteration with the collar and such.

Have to admit though, that with all the problems and issues with the pattern and finding the appropiate material I’m leaning back toward simply buying a ‘stock’ frock coat from a store.

I beg to differ on length. Long is good. If you can find a photo of an older Bernard Weatherill your tailor can probably reproduce it for you.

The longer coats are wonderful, especially if you hunt in a colder area because they keep your thighs warm. Many men up here in Geneseo NY have longer coats that are very handsome.

They should be mid thigh, not almost to the knee as in the Western Gambler outfit. All of your pics show mid thigh.
