front vs. back splint boots

I’ve never used splint boots before, but the owner of the horse I’m leasing wants me to use them. I had her show me how to put them on the first time, and she checked them and told me they were good the second time. However, she had to leave, but my coach said that the back boots were on the front legs and the front boots on the back legs. How do you tell the difference? I am very confused with these splint boots now…

What kind are they? Most splint boots are interchangeable except that the back boots are usually longer. Some of the xc boots are made with extra padding/ protection on the back of the front legs and the front of the back legs.

Hind boots are often a bit bigger.

But knowing the brand and type of boot will get you better answers.
