i just bought a new 3h slant trailer. It was supposed to have a fill stud wall in the first stall, so that I could ship one horse up front and a mare and foal loose in the back. What I got was a regular slant divider with a piece that goes to the floor. Can anyone shoot me pics, ideas of a real full stud wall? I’m thinking it should be some kind of grate material added to the top. Thanks!
Our Featherlite has a “stud panel” for the first slant stall. It’s an aluminum addition that goes below the existing panel. That panel already has an integral “head divider” at the front of it. The lower panel prevents any kicking incidents.
I’ve never seen a “full wall” slant load panel. I suppose one could be special ordered or perhaps done DIY style. Here is an example of a pretty traditional stud DIY panel https://www.pinterest.com/pin/113645590570089927/
But it’s a lower “half wall”, not a full wall.

I had a trailer with this. It had the solid front then bars on the back (like a stall front) that went up to near the roof. It also had a solid metal bottom lined with rubber.
It worked but was heavy as heck. it had a wheel on the back to help move it. You had to be careful to put a horse up there that was patient regarding closing the door! Not sure I would choose that again. I am sure out of aluminum it would be OK.
Sorry no pics, that was the 90s and I have a different trailer now.
Thanks guys! I have the bottom Part attached, and I think you are right, I need aluminum bars added. I don’t want the mare or foal biting the first horse on the but and causing issues.
This trailer has some full stud walls up front that might be close to what you are thinking of: https://www.sctrailers.net/windowsticker.php?UniqueID=2459

Thank you so much! I think what I am after is the “jail” style, they are just going to have to add on aluminum bars to the top. I sent a pic to the trailer folks. Really thankful for everyone’s help!
There is s group on Facebook regarding living quarters trailers. Yesterday there was a pix of a stud wall that also turned into a table. Clever. Useful
