I just got home from Los Alamitos to watch California Chrome. I know there were a lot of mixed feelings about this race and the quality of the horses he ran against. My horse is one of the “cheap horses” Chrome ran against today ( Aint Misbehavin). What a great day today. So much fun to be there and see all the fans at his home track. What a show he put on. And very sporting of Art Sherman to run him there for the fans and Ed Allred for putting the race together. Just a great day all around.
I was also there. What a fun, fun day!
The star himself. Not the best photo, but still.

While I understand what you mean by “cheap”, I think your horse is lovely and he is nicely mentioned in a bloodhorse article about the Winter race. So well done Ain’t Misbehavin.
I really, really like your horse! I wouldn’t say he ran against a bunch of cheap horses either! Lots of quality in that field!
I was surely impressed with the 2nd place horse who ran a very game 2nd to perhaps the best horse we’ve ever seen in north America!!

Really???
I went too and thought there was a really great atmosphere.
No it wasn’t the Breeders Cup but sometimes racing just has to be fun.
