When last seen I was showing in high AA jumpers, but that was around 20 years ago and now I might fall off if the horse sneezed. I would love to find a very good, technical, relatively sane trainer, with angelic lesson horses (since I’m in my fifties and don’t bounce when I hit the dirt like I used to) and an emphasis on good eq to drill me back to form. Oh, and preferably a fun, friendly, low drama atmosphere with other grownups, not just kids. I live on the Westside, so areas like LAEC, Paddock, Hansen Dam, Middle Ranch or similar?
Do you currently have a horse or will you need a school horse to get started with? Looking to lease, part lease or buy in the near future? These things will effect where to send you.
If you’re willing to journey to Cerritos, check out my barn, which had the other attributes you’re looking for. We’re southwest of the 91/605 interchange, as in Cerritos Auto Square.
I work in Santa Monica and realize all too well that it’s not a pleasant drive at the wrong time.
Chris Land… hands down the NICEST guy around with a great group of amateur ladies!!! Located at The Paddock http://www.silentpartnerscl.com/

At this point I would need a school horse. When I get my mojo back (which, given the amount of time I’ve been off, could take quite some time) I would be open to lease/buy, but not until then.
She has moved to what used to be Middle Ranch North.
I rode at First Field for several years (hi Peggy!) before I moved from Pasadena to Northern California. Terrible drive getting to Cerritos, but fabulous people and training. No drama, wonderful staff and clients. I loved it! I had my own horse, but got to hack the schoolies. I still miss my favorite, Pickles.
