G.U.T by Uckele

Has anyone used G.U.T made by Uckele? My equine massage therapist mentioned that my mustang had really…not normal smelling gas. She said I should look into some sort of digestive supplement.

In my research, I found this supplement, which seems to have good reviews, just curious if anyone who has actually tried it.

Since I am sure there will be questions about her diet, she is currently on 2 cups of Purina Enrich Plus 2x a day, 1 flake orchard grass a day, and 24/7 very good grass. The only supplement she currently gets is MSM. She had a fecal with her bi-annual vaccines and exam 2 months ago. Teeth were floated then, she does not drop feed, and her manure is normal.

She shows no signs of ulcers, and is always happy, and always eating-in other words, she is being a normal horse with 24/7 foraging.

If you haven’t used G.U.T, what other digestive supplements have you used (and got good results from)?

I like GUT! But not sure it’s what you need here? MSM can cause pretty stinky manure and gas…it’s the sulfur. Before you try something for a problem you might not actually have, maybe try pulling the MSM for a week or so to see if that resolves the smell? If it does, no need to spend the $$ on a gut supplement. Stinky from MSM isn’t a problem (for the horse, anyway!)

If she’s still smelly off the MSM, a hind gut supplement might be a better choice. Something like Succeed or Equishure.

Totally glad that I popped in here. My guy has had such smelly gas lately. I was blaming it on pasture grass, but it actually coincides with me increasing his MSM. you’re on to something here!

Carry on.

Another random find! My mare is the gassiest thing and now I have an idea why! Not super stinky like OP’s horse but aha. (And has anyone ever noticed how difficult it is to find an MSM free joint supplement?)

Ahhhh the MSM could TOTALLY be it! I am going to try that first! Thanks Simke!
