Even if the horse DID buck, which I doubt because that horse looks like a SAINT, didn’t the trainer claim that the girl was showing in the 3’ division? Now, maybe the pictures mask the height a bit, but that ain’t 3’, no matter how you skew it.

She obviously doesn’t realize just how smart, devious and tenacious a group this is! :winkgrin: :lol: COTHers could have gotten her out of this in a New York minute (which is actually forty seconds) if she would only have said the word… I feel most sorry for the horse at this point. I doubt the horse owner will see anywhere near the money she thought she would for this horse. I will be very surprised if these people take the horse now–didn’t someone say the kid is going back to school somewhere??? :uhoh:

What if they decide these people don’t want the horse??? What happens to him??? Is the owner willing to relinquish any and all rights to the horse to someone on the COTH board so they can give him a proper home???

OMFG. My friend, trusting her trainer, sent links to the pics with a “what am I to do??” message… this is the email she got back…

I sent all pix to trainer 2, so she could see for herself just what was going on. She rode the horse yesterday herself and loved him and could understand that the horse didn’t need a Kimberwicke. She put the girl on and she was amazed how the horse felt. trainer2 gave the student a good talking to and explained that she’s never ridden a horse like him and and that she has to learn to ride.I told her what to do to change the problem and she told me she was going to work on it. She called her trainer in IL and basically said “LISTEN, lady, I trusted you, you totally screwed me over… WTF!!!” Trainer said “I agree, theres alot of screwing happening, I don’t approve, call my daughter and see what she has to say.” Mom put in the preliminary phone call “You should PROBABLY answer the phone…” and my friend called FL trainer. FL trainer proceeded to rip my friend a new one for “tattleing to her mommy” and then my friend turned the tables and told her where to shove it. Trainer immediately came back with “Okay, okay, the girl totally messed up at the show, she hasn’t shown in a year and NEVER at 3’, she couldn’t get it together, popped the horse in the mouth over the fences, hence the bucking, and then he started refusing and she got TOed at the horse, punished more, and it was all down hill.” Trainer then got after student, dad of student got after trainer and trainer told dad that he was being stupid, he needed to buy the horse, his daughter needed to listen to trainer and if they didn’t close the deal by the 15th she would no longer be training his daughter and didn’t need him as a client anymore. Trainer also advised that anything coming up in vetting would be CLIENTS problem, not sellers.
Friend is going to send the letter tomorrow.

According to this trainer was AT the show so she should have seen how the girl was riding there… and they have had this horse “on trial” for 6 weeks and trainer is just NOW getting on him… after they have show him… anyone who thought that these 2 “trainers” weren’t working together since the beginning to scam this girl should know now that without a doubt they are both in on it!.

You are so right! This is how I feel too. I want to stay away but I can’t - I want to know the ending.
I was thinking the same thing about trainer 2 working with the kid and the horse all this time. She was at the show too - why did she have to see the pictures? Those two trainers are definitely working together and deserve some kind of public flogging! Sounding more and more like this was a planned scam from the getgo.
