Oh noooooooo! We need CoTHdog stick art and 2,000 posts before that happens!!!
Could the Donkman, in reality, be “The Equalizer” : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Equalizer .  Sorry, I’m showing my age…
I, for one, will be sorry to see this thread go… It’s been very enlightening from many aspects…
Eponacowgirl, you must let us know if the certified check bounces since we won’t have this thread to refer to.

My Friend got the impression this FL trainer is niave, and really did not have the ability - until PUSHED - to get this done or to get her client to the finish line.
Continuing this thread–any bets as to who pushed T2.
Although this has been VERY entertaining, the moral remains the same.
NEVER SEND A HORSE ON TRIAL. You are then at the mercy of THEIR vets, their accidents and their word. Uh-uh. My horse is mine until the money is in the bank.
Glad for the seller that is all turned out this way. Could have been a MAJOR disaster.

I beg to differ. Many, if not most, AWS have no heavy draft.
Yes. I took my mare (ISR) to an AWS approval for laughs. There were a few draft X hopefuls there, but they were not approved. The horses who placed high in the approvals were Warmbloods or TBX’s. Nothing against DraftX’s – I’ve met several that I’d gladly own!
Now, back to our regular programming.
Yup, this whole thing reinforces my opinion that you NEVER send a horse out for trial. I wouldn’t, anyway.
Aww… Riley is Cute!!!
and Janet…what a Beautiful horse!!!

That’s so funny it is now up to 934 and I had looked at the site about a half hour ago when I first checked this thread and it was only at about 230 so it has obviously just been rolling over and over again…
Ah the power of the cothdogs! Now we just have to hope this doesn’t get moved to favorites until the “dogs” are immortalized in stick art!
Then I would guess you were on the wrong site.
I checked it this AM before 8am and I was viewer 66something (like 663).
I’ve enjoyed lurking on this thread. 946 and counting…

No, it is the same site I looked at last night and earlier today. It only goes to 999 and then it would reset to 0 and start over - so all the visits and revisits from us have it rolling over.
Is Donkeyman a man? Its a user name–not a description:)

no way. I wonder what the “real” number is then…
I really do feel sorry for the kid (buyer) I just hope she doesn’t get hurt physically from this. We all know what happens when we push kids over fences and courses they are not ready for.
Sorry, but as I look at my own daughters while reading this thready each day the notion that the girl is going to get hurt because daddy poop face wants bragging rights just won’t go away.
the whole sales drama aside and now potentially closed I find myself unable to shake the thought that (having seen the pictures and heard the poop-in-ator’s comments about the sale) she is bound to get hurt jumping at that level. Sweet horse or not. He isn’t a magnet able to hold her in the saddle and if he slips from footing or any other reason I think she is most definitely going to fall. The question isn’t if, but when and how hard.
I feel he does deserve a copy of this on his chair at a show but from what I have read I don’t think it will help. Maybe include some insurance statistics?
Not that I would want to squash her riding dreams, just to have poop face daddums look at more than a dollar sign and potential high-end home sales in a slow market economy (he’s an agent I see from many pages ago) by “networking” at these shows.
Well, off to enjoy the laughter of my own daughters. Daddy is off today and has them squealing with joy in the living room! I’ll definately be checking for what appears to be the final days of this thread.
Good reading, good drama, and valuable lessons.
Thanks to everyone that contributed in any way.
Good, bad, or indifferent.
T2: The Florida Horse Chronicles in which Donkeyman fights game playing trainers & horse buyers in Florida. Can he stop Horsebuyernet from spreading all over and causing the destruction of the horseworld in 2011?

I just checked and it seems it doesn’t roll back at 1000, as it was at 1001.
Hmm, you’re right - this is the same site that I have been looking at every time. Previously it only had room for 3 digits now it has room for 4 - hmmm how did it update?
I know nothing about tickers but could they have simply updated it in some way to be more digits?
I guess - I was sort of wondering out loud if Thing 2 would have updated it herself due to the increase in traffic or do those kinds of things update themselves if they rollover a certain number of times? I am not computer literate enough to know.
Although I just thought of something kind of funny - isn’t the website actually that of the kid that won the M & S Award? So I wonder how the conversation is going to go when she tells T2 about all the recent traffic to her page on the site! Oh, to be a fly on the wall for that one!

tidbits (name redacted)…
Hunter, Jumper & Pleasure Instruction, Training, Judging
Based in Clermont and working with riders in the Central Florida area, * is a third generation horseperson. Her exposure to horses began literally at birth, as both of her parents are trainers and instructors. She began showing at the age of six, and has spent over thirty years sharing her extensive knowledge and expertise with others through lessons and training. Over the years she has worked with the British Pony Clubs and spent 15 years as a 4-H leader. She is a private trainer who works with a very limited number of students. She does not advertise her services, but finds all her students by word of mouth. In addition to offering lessons for beginner to advanced riders in hunters, hunt seat equitation and jumpers, she also provides instruction for pleasure riders. Students are taught on their own horse and must be at least six years of age.
Although she truly enjoys working with all her students, * particularly enjoys those riders who have had a bad experience with other trainers, are middle-aged riders, or are riders who feel some level of anxiety while riding. Her foundation for training is based on two firm beliefs. First, the majority of problems encountered by horse and rider are the result of an inability of each to understand what the other is “saying.” Second, the most important aspect of riding is having a rider who is correct and balanced; which must be accomplished before the rider can ask the horse to correctly do his job. Furthermore, it is her goal to achieve the highest level of performance and success possible with the existing horse and rider combination, not to convince the rider to sell their horse and purchase another, more expensive one. As such, her personal measure of success is in her students’ individual accomplishments, from doing well in a show to understanding a concept of riding during a lesson. Each rider’s achievement, regardless of how great or small, is personally significant to her. Creating the successful horse and rider team that can effectively communicate with one another in a relaxed and positive manner is her greatest joy.
very apt—1 finds
clients by word of mouth----2–haha her belife is to find a rider correct in balance-- haha cant she teach that— and on that point - says why she hasnt correct a horse witha rider going over a jump and pulling it round –
3- quote understanding a concept of riding during a lesson-- pull the other one it got bells on it
4- 1st belife quote to understand each other— haha very unlikely as the pictures porves that she does not-- and has no regards for the horse and come to think of it nor the rider who on earth would put in a novice rider – and inexpreince horse and over face them with huge jumps of 3ft 9in and more- with out putting gorundwork and pole work trianing for both
how they got round was pure honesty on the horses behalf and luck- and nothing more
if she worked british pony clubs – then i want her name to
as i can tell you something for nothing the pony clubs her wouldnt ever attempt to put some one in a big class unless the horse was experinced or the rider and that the rider had all the training nessecary with out side instructors and regualar clinics and practices to get them ready for exsample in comparision we do a riding club inter branch show jumping competitions the main event is held at hickstead- and the finals are at hickstead
they practice and hold mini events-- and then the team is selected about 2mths before hand but to be selected they 1st must have or be a proven consistent jumper and one who attends all the clinics and venues and the instructors for these clinics are held with accredited bsja traniers or british eventing acciredited traniers–
ie donald kear-- who is the major pony club show jumping official or local acredtied trianers for local branhes of the pony depending on area who they have so could be like accredited trianer x 3 day eventer and international show jumper trianer john smart
they arent just selected or trianed by yoyo’s
so to me this trianer is pooohey- as doesnt understand the concept of horse and rider and how to trian— as if they did the kimblewick would go and the pull go- and in place work be working with the horse-- on the flat – leanring to lenghten and shorten your strides with half halts stride building up over grids and pole work to learn your strides and distances – working with your horse together and working from an independant seat and secure leg – done
