Just curious if anyone knows about these helmets. Would they be approved to use in U.S.? They seem like a nice low profile helmet for a decent price.

Gatehouse are common in the UK, endorsed by top riders and have been in business for 25 years or more. I don’t know if they are approved in the USA but will they meet European and UK standards.
Looks an awful lot like a One K
Yeah that why I wanted one, they look like a One K without the price tag. I wonder if their made in the same factory. I guess I probably should have titled my post does anybody know anything about these helmets, I kinda already knew they were popular in Europe, but wanted to know if anyone in the US used them or had thoughts about them.
The only thing I was able to find out is that the helmets are accredited by BSEN 1384 safety testing, which is soon to got obsolete in Europe in favor of a higher standard of testing, which is why they are on sale so cheap.
To be approved to wear in the USA it has to be ASTM/SEI certified. I did order a CO helmet from the UK several years ago for the reason you’re stating. It was much cheaper. It was Kite marked for the British standard, but was also certified to the USA standards. So some are that way, but not all.
Same can be said for some Pikeur/GPA helmets. They look identical, but the certification is not exactly the same.
I think it really only matters if you are showing where the certification of your helmet may be checked. I may be wrong, but I don’t feel like one is necessarily better as far as certification levels go, they’re just different.
