Gaudi

Any Gaudi (Totilas) babies going under saddle yet- if so impressions? Rideability? Thanks!

Go to Forrest Hill Farm’s facebook page (they’re in Lafayette IN in case there are multiple) and search the page for Gaudi. They’ve got a handful of them.

I’ve got one, she’s a 2019 model:)

She’s an old soul…but does have a bit of spice. She is very level headed…alert/sensitive but not reactive/spooky. She is one of the sweetest mares I’ve ever owned…very polite and appreciates her people. She was a little spicy to get going under saddle, but then turned into a very solid citizen. She will tell you very clearly if she is not happy about something…but if you fix what she doesn’t like, you get an immediate response.

Her walk and trot are great and comfy to ride. Her canter has been harder to develop…I joke that she was like a cross between a kangaroo and an octopus! LOL But with time and patience, we are now getting a very nice canter. She just had too much power and not enough strength and she would get frustrated. I spent all last winter strengthening it and that made a huge difference.

She’s a keeper for me…no matter what she does riding/competing I just adore her. She does come from a very nice mare line, so that also helps.
