Did she loose both grab boots at the last fence? The camera angle changed but I saw two black things flying.

Totally unreal. She looks phenomenal, and that was a gutsy jumpoff for both horse and rider. I wouldn’t have wanted to attempt some of those rollbacks!

What a glorious send-off to an astonishing year. She was a reborn revelation in Aachen. Her rounds in Calgary were just perfection, a joy to watch from start to finish. And now this. This is right up there with Big Star getting the gold for Grandpa. What an honor to watch this team at the top of their game.

Now, what a foal that would be- Big Star x Azur.
I know nothing about the breeding or conformation of either animal to know if this would be an intelligent cross, mind you.

Ooh- I have a Quick Star (Big Star’s sire) grandson who is very like Big Star in build, and I actually think it would be a great cross, just going by type.
I love that mare- Mclain seems to have a way with mares. I mean, he has a way with everything he rides that I’ve seen, but the relationship he has with his mares seems extra-special.

I’ve always adored Azur. It’s been fun watching her results but that jump-off was unreal. For the final jump, I couldn’t see any angle other than front-on or from behind, but it looked like McLain was trying to leave another stride out but it was too far so Azur had to chip. She saved his bacon I think.
