I understand that perspective and feel for those left behind, but I still believe, me, personally, that it’s important that people continue to see those names so that history is retained, remembered, and not white washed. I absolutely don’t want people five or ten or 100 years from now to be singing the praises of those who sexually assaulted children because everyone else forgot they did so.

Because they aren’t sanctioned by a licensing authority. In order to be a child care center you have to be licensed by the regulatory entity of the State.

It depends on the state. My state only started enforcing child protection rules for the church based day cares this year. Before that you could hire anyone, and had no supervision from the state.
I feel like it may have been mentioned earlier in the thread, but licensed officials with USEF have been required to get background checks for several years now. I don’t know how extensive they are, but it is a requirement for every official. They do not require fingerprints, just some identifying information that you can fill out online.

So I don’t have time to go read through another 50 pages to find the current UTD happenings. Did he file appeal within the allotted amount of days? Or is GM just taking it and going to disappear?
The US Center for SafeSport still says “(subject to appeal / not yet final)” for George Morris. So I believe the appeal is still in process and not yet final. If he had decided not to appeal, I believe the decision would be final.

Did I read correctly that Rob Gage has been removed from the banned list as has Jimmie Williams? Sorry if this was addressed.
I read the same thing somewhere, but I have not verified it by looking at the list with my own eyes.
There’s a note at the top of the list that if the people are deceased they will only be on the list for 90 days.

So on the safe sport website it says GM is permanently banned. No pending appeal. USEF has it still showing pending appeal. Anyone know what this is about.

I keep looking for news on the appeal and haven’t seen anything yet.
No matter what, doesn’t appear like he will disappear. I know he is still doing some clinics, even though farm owners/facilitators risk some blowback. A friend of mine audited one about a month ago.

Sorry if this has already been said, but as much as I believe perpetrators should be brought to justice, I just don’t see how you can convict someone with no evidence other than their word. I don’t care how many people said it. It was from 40 some years ago? There is a reason there are statutes of limitations on many crimes. This is “he said-she said” and that should never be the standard to convict someone and ruin their life. Didn’t we just see that same thing tried on Judge Kavanaugh? Calumny is a sin. And it should be a crime itself to accuse someone of something which cannot be proven.
