Isabell Werth’s horse injured himself in the box. It is just a bruise sort of injury at the fetlock, but “Warum nicht FRH” can not be ridden in the next days. As a result the dressage section of the German Olympic committee decided to let Isabell Werth ride “Satchmo” whom she was also nominated with. Satchmo was already competing under Isabell at the European championships 2003, where “we” won team gold.

what on earth is going on with all this? I thought it was crazy when Lingh got hurt for Athens…now they are all just dropping out like flies.
I guess the new meds tests are REALLY REALLY picking up anything stronger than a blade of grass. Wait–that’s what got Michael Freund into trouble–and Jessica Kuerten–their horses ate valerian in the pastures outside the competition areas.
