Getting Fit for the Saddle

I realize there is nothing better for getting saddle fit than actual time in the saddle but given I’ve got free access to a very nice gym and very limited time in the saddle I’m wondering if anyone has any recommended workouts or exercises they’d care to share? I’m riding western equitation if that makes any difference.

This book, “Rider’s Fitness Program” kick-started my fitness journey. It’s excellent, not too intimidating, and effective IMO.
