Getting permanent marker to stick to dry erase board?

From experience: Kool Lube also works to remove permanent marker  (and the dry erase stuff when it’s no longer “eraseable”)

Yup, all of these (alcohol, clipper spray, etc) are examples of solvents. Dry erase markers are handy because they’re generally sitting right there at the board anyway.

Usually one of the solvents in dry erase IS an alcohol. Which is why permanent lines put on with sharpie have such a short lifespan when dry erase is used around them. Just use tape.

Wasn’t near an art supply store, so I stopped by Walmart in search of pin striping tape. No go. This was after the local hardware store and after Home Depot. So I picked up paint pens. What a waste of time.

In my frustration, next to the ruler, sits a finer point Sharpie. I had been using the fat tip Sharpies. I pick it up, level the ruler and drop a line. It stays. Lo and behold, it stays through drawing the whole grid. Problem solved. Finally!!

Sharpie or tape. For mistakes, nail polish remover (acetone) takes Sharpie off whiteboards.
