Gift for newly opened vet clinic?

My BO’s husband (73) is a vet and they have had a tiny clinic on their property for years.
Over the past two years they have been building a new, much larger clinic for their daughter (mid 20’s) who graduated this spring and is taking over the practice with another vet while dad retires.

The new clinic waiting room is larger than the entire old clinic was. They now have a full sized, fully kitted out, modern clinic.

I would love to buy a small gift to celebrate. I popped in the other day and they already have a vase of flowers, a couple potted plants and one larger potted plant.

I’m thinking maybe artwork but that can be quite personal.

Is there something functional and fun to consider? They have all the vet related stuff of course but maybe there’s some gadget that would make their lives even easier?

I’m open to ideas!! $100-300 range is what I’m thinking. If I did some artwork type purchase it would likely be $250+

How about taking some pics of the new clinic and have them framed or just one large one printed and framed. * A surprise - don’t tell them - just snap some ??

I love the idea of artwork or photos, even of their own animals. Most places like Shutterfly have the option of printing photos on glass or canvas, and those wouldn’t need to be framed. You could even do 2 or 3 of various sizes that could be grouped together for your budget.

That is such a nice gesture!

One thing I was considering in the category of “artwork” is another friend from the barn does drone photography so I was thinking of getting some of her photos of the farm/new clinic/old clinic printed on nice canvas. Based on the couple of responses so far that may be a good idea!

When our vets added to their clinic, we gave them a stained glass window panel by a COTH poster, equiglass, with their logo on it.
All these years later, it is still hanging on their office window, they love it.

Great idea!

Shutterfly has about 50% off for Costco members, and you can print on canvas or metal (both of which look stunning).

My vet just took over the established clinic this spring and has a big sign framed “*** Animal Clinic Dr New Vet” in the waiting areal. They also revived the tradition of putting polaroids(!) of their clients up on thy vet just has no wall space.
(I just ‘gifted’ them 3 boxes of wound care materials left from my husband after home health care would not take it. Not quite an office warming gift, but of mutual benefit. I did not have to toss hundreds of dollars worth of stuff, and they did not need to buy it)

This!
Especially shots of the old clinic.
Not necessarily aerial, but I’m sure they’d like to “look back”.

I used to gift my equine vet’s office w/treats.
Donuts, fruit basket, gift coupon for pizza…
They get so busy nobody makes time for a lunchbreak.

Maybe a flat-screen tv to mount on the wall in the waiting room where they could run loops of ads for monthly specials, PSAs, etc, or connect later to cable or satellite if they decided to go that way.

for the dog walking area a piece of yard art, it should outlast the clinic

I love the idea of art for the walls.

You can do general art of cute baby animals that everyone will enjoy for the waiting room. Or you can do something more personal.

May I suggest canvas printed art. Sometimes clinics can be echo-y and its good to have some sound absorbers.

I like the idea of photos of the old clinic as a wonderful way of saying - look how we have grown.

Buying actual art for someone else should be limited to buying for people who you know well enough to understand what they will actually like.

Yes, a breaking ground type picture in the background and a main new clinic picture.
