Last year I gave her the book by Michael Korda–Horse People–and the part in it about his “foxhunting adventures” had her rolling on the floor; she loved it!
How can I top that this year?
Any suggestions would be welcome, TIA!

Jim Meads new book, Going Home
Thanks!
Are these available on Amazon, by chance?
Cookie’s old books - try Abebooks or another used book site. They may be on Amazon, too.
Jim Meads… not sure. If not - you can purchase one from horsecountrylife.com There are oodles of foxhunting tomes on that site. Lots of gift items, too. Oh - there are some videos, too!
Cool, thanks JSwan!
There’s the new “Thoughts on Foxhunting” DVD package. Old Habit is selling it. I’d be thrilled if someone gifted that to me, but I don’t have any close hunting friends, so I’ll likely have to buy it for myself :sigh:
If you are looking for something other than, or in additon to a book, Cindy Medina does GORGEOUS handpainted foxhunting (and other themes) glassware. She also does dinnerware, ornaments, and hurricane lamps. And tiles! If it will hold paint, she’ll paint it. She’s on COTH as Equus34.
And if you want custom stock ties made out of any fabric possible, check out www.customstockties.com. Made by yours truly!
what about a nice printed stock tie for cubbing season? I saw some on ebay recently that were inexpensive but quite lovely. Of course you can find really nice ones at Horse country too.
I will second Cindy Medina. My hunt and racetrack friends are all receiving customs glasses/carafes etc made by her. Beautiful work. Too late for this year but something for next year.

Any of Gordon Grand’s books- I believe Derrydale Press is now carrying them.
The glasses are lovely (and I’m thinking the perfect gift for some people I know). Does anyone know if she would be able to ship them in time for Christmas?
Thoughts on Foxhunting DVD is great, my husband gave it to me for my birthday!!! Wonderful gift.
