My farrier already has his girls riding. They are 3 & 2. I would love to give them some sort of Christmas gift, horsey-themed of course.
Any great ideas for such small riders? 
Monogrammed saddle pads?
If they are girlygirls, you can get pink monogram - whole name rather than just initials.
Or a set of kid-sized grooming stuff - curry & brushes sized for little hands.

Do they have their own horses? Even if not, maybe something like a cute belt and a matching lead line. Everyone loves to match their ponies.
Or, kid sized grooming tools, a basket of treats for kid and pony, a model or stuffed horse that looks like the horse they ride (if they always ride the same one).
They are leasing a horse.
I was half thinking some sort of books, so I looked up the Billy & Blaze series to see if I could even get them. I can, but it’s $80 and that’s a bit steep.
I vote for child sized grooming tools in a cute tote.
It is REALLY hard to teach a child to groom with adult size tools,
one gift that is often overlooked is the Morgan Youth Horsemanship series of books. The series was designed to teach children about horses. The first two booklets are free, general knowledge not specific to the Morgan but to all horses. These can be downloaded at not cost.
They are in coloring book forum to encourage children to become active with their horse

Back in the 1990s I was a regional youth director for the AMHA, many of the people I worked with are still with the AMHA.
The Youth Program while focused on the Morgan has always been an open platform as all horses have the same basic needs. The AMHA has always been open to share this program with others without restrictions.
If I dig around some I may be able to find some of the Justin Morgan coloring books… if I have some I will PM you for a shipping address.
