Glad to see Kevin get the big win. Not bad for a once upon a time 16k claimer.
I thought a fantastic race and win by Starship Jubilee. Oldest horse in the field (7yo) and only female. Her second G1T. Claimed in 2017 for $16,000. Winner of 19 races (19-5-3) out of 38 starts with earnings of over $2M. She was only .31 of second off Wise Dan’s course record.
I was hoping for either Starship Jubilee or Shirl’s Speight (the only 3yo). Shirl’s Speight in his 3rd start I think just didn’t have the experience to compete with these older horses.
She looked good. Hope we see her in the BC Mile (G1T) in November. :encouragement:
