Glamourdale versus Everdale

Please tell me your pros and cons about each stallion.

Someone suggested that Glamourdale paddles. I looked at the video…I see only very mild instances of it as he is going around a corner.

In the 2016 licensing, I saw 2 Everdale stallions and both of them had movement like carriage horses - more up and down, than forwards with a long, ground-covering stride. They did not impress me at all and I was surprised, actually, that they were accepted! This is surely not a consistent trait of his progeny?

Both stallions are very lovely to look at, but the real proof is in the pudding, and I would love to hear feedback on offspring they have produced, and the type of mare you paired with either Everdale or Glamourdale.

Thanks in advance!

Everdale seems to breed big modern types, lovely long lines, A good friend of mine has seen him and said the paddle is fairly minor and wouldn’t be of much concern to her (she’s bred this one friend has bred 2 foals from chippendale and 1 each from glamourdale and everdale)

Glamourdale is just a lovely stamp of horse, he will improve the back and the strength, I feel Glamourdale progeny will not do so well in the young horse classes but will tend to have the quality and strength for the higher level work.

Basically i would use a more old fashioned mare with Everdale and a more modern mare with glamour dale. Both seem to throw good nature. If your looking at those stallions also consider Chippendale he’s got a lot of quality and his appears to pass this on to his foals however does throw on the smaller side

I looked at Chippendale as well.

Then Netto also caught my attention. After reviewing it all I finally decided on Netto for the upcoming breeding season. I think Everdale might be the choice for the next time though. The mare is not old fashioned, per se, and herself has lovely, elastic gaits, but she is only 15.3, so she needs some height which Everdale provides.
