Which Glock croaked recently? His estate is probably being settled. The Dutch horses will be relocated to Austria.

The patriarch died almost a year ago. Timing this closure with the settlement of the estate makes sense.

An expiring contract could mean almost anything. I’m guessing that maybe they don’t own the property in The Netherlands? I wouldn’t be surprised at all if the move was also possibly related to the new VAT laws that take effect January 1st. The VAT on certain agricultural products is more than doubling whereas it is much more reasonable in Austria.

When Glock divorced wife #1 for the younger wife #2, the divorce was pretty contentious, and I think his sons sided with wife #1 and they have little interest in horses. But I don’t know the terms of his will and who inherited what when he died. I suppose wrapping up his estate probably coincides with this decision.
However, I just read that the dissolution has a lot to do with income tax laws in the Netherlands. So maybe it was a combination of both.

I think he was 80 and she was 20. Or close. She was his nurse at first and pretty much cut him off from his family after an illness. But they stayed married until his death so I guess it worked.
