Glocks Johnson TN

Does anyone have experience with his offspring? I searched for “Johnson” here and nothing came up for this horse, just for R Johnson, who I am pretty sure is no relation.

I am not interested in rideability, just in gaits, conformation and quality of his foals.

Thanks,

Well, there is this one.

Results are not posted yet for last weekend’s competition, where she scored in the 70’s at I-1.

Granted, the rider is a very good pro, but she likes the horse so much, she just bought another young mare by the Johnson son, Bretton Woods.

Here is one from our Ferro/Donnerhall mare:

He was injured as a foal and developed a club foot from the injury.
Here he is at 2 years old: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10155459158245640&set=pcb.10155459162305640&type=1&theater
Even with the injury, he still had pretty amazing movement as a weanling. He sold before he was weaned and I haven’t seen him since.
The Ferro/Jazz grand sire combination made for beautiful conformation, but definitely a pro temperament.

There is a way to search the FEI database through Google, but I can’t remember how.

We have had a few of his offspring here for training and a friend has had a good number of them. I think he is the best producing Jazz son. I would use a mare with a good topline/length of neck, with good angles behind and a good walk. I personally would also avoid using him on a mare that is at all spooky, simply because of the Jazz in the equation. He does tend to make really nice, pretty horses with a lot of talent. Every one I have seen has had a canter to die for! He has been on my short list for a while now.
