Glock's London. Anyone breeding to him or have offspring?

(Prefaced to say that I can’t tell if his semen is available to NA breeders or not, so perhaps the first question is moot.)

I have no interest in breeding horses myself so I don’t really follow stallions, but I am quite intrigued by London. Such a pretty guy, and he seems to have a lovely character. I follow the Glock horses on Facebook, and they always have great photos of London.

And he has such a pretty face and unusual eye

And of course he can jump, Olympic medals yadda yadda

So what’s the scoop? I see some London kids in Europe, but not a whole lot. His oldest should be 5 I believe. I’m just curious how he is viewed as a stallion. He seems like a neat guy to me.

Don’t know the answers to all of your questions…His semen is now available in the USA. But part of why he probably has limited offspring here and in Europe is that (a) he is busy competing therefore (b) the semen is pricey. The current 2-straw dose is priced at 4k in the US. It’s also possible with his changes in ownership that he hasn’t been as consistently collected but that’s just speculation.

I’d like to know from others with more knowledge if anyone has a sense of what sort of mare he compliments. Have a mare I dream of breeding to him, now to buy some lottery tickets…

Certainly a very good horse himself, but he has has limited offspring, and with the price tag for his frozen, I know for me I’ll be waiting to see what he puts on the ground before taking that gamble.

Well I can hope that with the change in ownership maybe there will be more kids on the ground soon to get the ball rolling. Perhaps there will be some in the show ring soon.

I will be using him on a custom foal breeding for a client this year. I will also be the first to try the Chaman semen this year. Apparently it’s a gambling year for 2015. I will update in April for curious minds.
